As the new American Idol kicks into gear, its kind of sad to see these people putting ALL they have into getting to hollywood and becomeing the NEXT AMERICAN IDOL. Then life would be WONDERFUL. They would be SET FOR LIFE.
Well, not really.
Taylor Hicks is the latest Idol to be dropped by his label. He didn’t even sell 1 million copies.
Rubben Studdard was able ot make 3 albums, but his last album sold 230,000 copies.
Katherin McPhee may be gracing the cover of magazines, but sold 365,000 copies (according to mtv news)
While Kelly Claskson is currently on tour with Reba McEnTire and many say Carrie Underwood is selling becuase she does Country and is not very "Idol" she may want to save her pennies as well as Country music sales dropped 16.3 percent in 2007
